Code of Conduct

At Vald Staffing, our operations in the U.S. warehouse sector are guided by strict standards of safety, compliance, and integrity. This Code of Conduct defines how we operate with our employees, associates, and client partners.

1. Health and Safety

Safety is our first priority in every warehouse environment.

We require compliance with OSHA standards and all applicable federal and state safety regulations. All associates receive appropriate site-specific safety orientation, and certifications are verified where required (e.g., forklift operation).

We expect immediate reporting of hazards, proper use of PPE, and full cooperation with client safety protocols. Productivity never overrides worker safety.

2. Labor Rights

We uphold all federal and state labor laws, including wage and hour regulations, overtime requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) standards.

We ensure:

  • Child Labour

  • Freely Chosen Employment

  • Employment Contracts

  • Compensation

  • Working Hours

  • Freedom of Association

  • Discrimination

  • Harrassment

  • Security Guards

Child Labour

We strictly prohibit the employment of individuals below the legal working age in accordance with U.S. labor laws. All workers must meet minimum age requirements and provide proper documentation prior to placement.

Freely Chosen Employment

All employment is voluntary. We do not engage in forced labor, coercion, or any practice that restricts a worker’s right to leave employment under lawful conditions.

Employment Contracts

All associates receive clear, written terms outlining job duties, pay rates, work schedules, and expectations to ensure full transparency before assignment.

Compensation

We ensure employees are paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance with federal and state wage laws, including overtime requirements where applicable.

Working Hours

Work schedules, including overtime, comply with all applicable labor laws. Associates are informed in advance of expected hours, and excessive or unlawful working hours are not permitted.

Freedom of Association

We respect employees’ legal rights to organize, join, or refrain from joining groups or associations without fear of retaliation or interference.

Discrimination

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination based on any protected characteristic, ensuring fair and equal treatment in hiring, placement, and employment practices.

Harassment

We prohibit all forms of workplace harassment, including verbal, physical, or visual conduct that creates an intimidating or hostile work environment.

Security Guards

Any security personnel present at client sites are expected to operate professionally, lawfully, and with respect for workers’ rights, ensuring safety without intimidation or excessive force.

We operate with transparency and accountability in every placement.

This includes:

  • Accurate job descriptions and pay structures

  • Honest communication with clients and associates

  • Protection of confidential information

  • Avoidance of conflicts of interest

We do not misrepresent talent, conceal performance issues, or make unrealistic promises.

Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest arises when personal, financial, or external relationships interfere — or appear to interfere — with an individual’s ability to act in the best interest of Vald Staffing, its clients, or its workforce.

In the staffing and warehouse environment, conflicts of interest can compromise hiring decisions, workforce quality, operational performance, and client trust. These situations may include, but are not limited to:

  • Favoring or placing friends, family members, or personal connections without proper qualification or disclosure

  • Accepting gifts, payments, or incentives from candidates or clients in exchange for preferential treatment

  • Assigning workers based on personal benefit rather than operational fit and performance standards

  • Maintaining undisclosed relationships with competing businesses, vendors, or clients

  • Using confidential company or client information for personal gain

At Vald Staffing, all decisions must be based on merit, performance, compliance, and the best operational outcome for our clients. Employees and representatives are required to:

  • Disclose any actual or potential conflicts immediately

  • Remove themselves from decision-making where a conflict exists

  • Maintain full transparency in all hiring, placement, and client interactions

  • Protect confidential information at all times

Failure to disclose or properly manage a conflict of interest may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

We believe that eliminating conflicts of interest is essential to maintaining credibility, protecting our clients’ operations, and delivering a workforce built on trust and performance.

Our Commitment

This Code of Conduct reflects our commitment to safe operations, lawful employment practices, and ethical partnerships.

We hold ourselves accountable to maintaining high standards that protect workers, strengthen warehouse performance, and support long-term client relationships.
